Spears, Arrows, and Abbey Ale

Yesterday we went to the old Abbey of Ersum. It was CRAZY. I dont think anyone knew what they signed up for. We took an Abbey tour which was lackluster and read in poor English off a site like Wikipedia. The people didnt even know the name for an alter. Then the fun started. We broke off into teams, had to come up with a team name, warrior cry, and coat of arms that we painted onto a shield and a flag. The 'whacking' or VIKING workshop started and we had to compete in events. There was archery, battering ram, strength training, and sword fighting with an ex-soldier who showed no mercy on the Americans, even the girls. After an exhausting day we drank some local øl.

(they didnt even tell us what this meant...it was near the coat check)

Good thymes.
look at these pictures...this place would get sued the hell out of if it existed in the states

( medicinal garden that the monks used)

More posts soon...i dont know why the videos are all messed up. its really frustrating

later sk8ers
